“This ceramic sculpture is the combination of my thematic series of Couple-family and Towers. It refers to the step-by-step / gradual realization of the mission in life whose classic expression is the path and the stairs leading upwards. The lateral area of a cylinder with two faces cut out from it and leaning slightly forward expresses the dinamics of the couple, while the geometric shape shows their unity. The pale beige outside stands in contrast to the dark ferric oxide-red inside. The outer surface is stamped, etched, engraved and imprinted. The cut out lines of the steps let light filter into the hidden depths of the object.”

“My unique technique, with the flat plane turning into a three dimensional space, therefore allowing us to look the artwork from different viewpoints and see different aspects, gives expression to the universality and complexity of how the meaning of a single concept transforms through different viewpoints. It also represents how our perception is limited and we can observe only a few of all the dimensions. These views – though often clashing, finally complete each other and together form the whole.”
